Here at 719 Magazine, we like to celebrate musical accomplishments. This #LimelightReview is covering Alyssa Ruffin, a well accomplished Country music artist who has plenty to celebrate, but first, let's give some well deserved flowers. These flowers are not just for musical accomplishments (which Alyssa has plenty to mention), but moreso for signing up for a lifestyle that is truly not meant for all, and can also change very drastically! I am referring to The life of a military spouse!

While Colorado Springs is for sure no stranger to both veterans and military spouses, Alyssa Ruffin has been a military spouse for 16 years now, enduring 3 deployments and 8 PCE's with her spouse, Chuck Ruffin with the US Space Force. Alyssa met her husband in 2006 while he was at his first duty station in Minot, ND, where they started as great friends, then dating in 2007, before he deployed to Afghanistan and then returning home after his deployment, in January 2009. They then got married and had their first child and Alyssa was quickly introduced to what it meant to be a military spouse almost instantly. Lucky for Alyssa, she was in a military family growing up and had somewhat of an understanding of what that entailed, and with a lot to be proud of!

Alyssa is currently a Key Spouse for Delta 4 at Buckley SFB here in Colorado, and has stepped into similar roles elsewhere. She spends a lot of time helping to provide deployed loved ones and their families with resources to meet their needs. Since then, Alyssa has sent over 37 care packages and more than 250 letters and kid's drawings overseas to deployed members of the military! Clearly, Alyssa is very passionate about giving back with the various organizations she has worked with, to include; Operation Check Six, Stop Soldier Suicide, Mission 22, and Toys for Tots just to list a few. We're are honored and ecstatic to you support artists like Alyssa Ruffin!
With all the work Alyssa has put in outside of her music, it’s no question that her music and accomplishments also speak volumes! Alyssa Ruffin is a multi-award-winning Nashville Recording Artist currently based out of Southern Colorado, and has received more than 50 music award nominations, winning several awards including Song of the Year at the Josie Music Awards held at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. Alyssa has opened for several major artists across several genres of music including Sawyer Brown performing for 30,000+ patrons, Confederate Railroad performing for 10,000+ patrons, Hinder, Royal Bliss, Coolio, JR Richards of Dishwalla, Firehouse, Grammy award-winning Lisa Loeb, Taylor Dayne, Jody Watley, Paula Cole, Melody Thornton of the Pussycat Dolls, & more!. Alyssa is truly an aspiring Country artist yet, also has songs in several other genres from Blues, to R&B, Rock and Pop.

Let us celebrate and support such an amazing artist and make sure to look out for more Alyssa’s music and events!
